There is always something for Friends members to do – whether you like natural history, cultural history or both! Join us! There are many perks to being a member of the Friends of Murphys Point. As a Friend, you will:
- Receive a 10 percent discount on Friends’ merchandise in the Park Store.
- Be eligible to vote at our Annual General Meeting and have a say in the future operations of the Friends.
- Be notified of special events and activities for the Friends.
- Receive the “Hoot and Wail” newsletter directly to your inbox.
- Have the opportunity to work and play with like-minded people and enjoy the park.
The membership year runs from April 1 to March 31. New members joining after October 1st in any given year receive memberships extending until March 31st of the subsequent membership year. Download our new membership brochure for full details.
There are three categories of membership:
- Individual ($20/year)
- Family ($25/year)
- Corporate ($50/year)

It’s easy to get involved with the Friends. If you are interested in volunteering, let us know and we will include you on our e-mail or phone list to inform you of meetings or events. Our regular board meetings (where event and project planning takes place) are open to anyone.
All volunteers need to complete a Volunteer Registration Form and are encouraged to read our Volunteer Policies and Procedures. We want to be sure we find the best match for your skills and for what you like to do. Volunteer opportunities are available both year-round or seasonally in a variety of areas.
