The Friends of Murphys Point Park depends on volunteers to carry out our many natural history and cultural programs as well as assist in developing new outreach and educational activities. Becoming involved as a volunteer is a great way to meet new people with similar interests as well as contribute to the success of the Friends.
Some of the opportunities include helping with the programs for children and youth, planning special events, community outreach and displays, fundraising, helping with BBQs and pancake breakfasts at the park, and communications. We are also looking for skills in social media and communications. In addition, there are sometimes vacancies to be filled on our Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting each April.
If you are interested in any of these or other volunteer opportunities, please review our Volunteer Policies and Procedures and complete and return a Volunteer Registration Form. If you have any specific questions, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. High school students can earn community service hours by volunteering with the Friends.
