Sold Out Pancake Breakfast!

The Friends’ latest culinary adventure was a complete sell out!

Lining up for a great breakfast!

The pancake breakfast held at the Main Beach on Sunday was scheduled to run for two hours, but the campers and visitors at Murphys Point proved to be a very hungry crew and we sold out in just over an hour! We served 150 people in an hour and six minutes – which averages out to 2 1/3 people every minute. We sold out of absolutely everything – which is a first!

Thanks to everyone who supported the event, which raised $312 (after expenses) for the upcoming Heritage Mica Festival, and our apologies to those of you who we had to turn away. Please watch for more pancake breakfasts and beach barbecues coming up during the festival – only a few short weeks away!

The pancakes were yummy…

...and seating was at a premium!

Thanks also to all the Friends volunteers and park staff who helped to make the breakfast such as success. Watch for notices about these popular feasts soon!

Helpful volunteers made it a full-service event!
