Happy Birthday, Rideau River!

The Friends of Murphys Point are helping our sister park, Rideau River, to celebrate its 50th anniversary! Check out the activities planned at Rideau River this Saturday, July 20. Funds raised at the barbecue will support Friends of Murphys Point programs. The park is located at 2680 Donnelly Drive, Kemptville. Hope to see you there!

12:00 – 2:00   BBQ & Cake (Friends of Murphys Point PP) – Main Beach

1:00 – 3:00    Children’s Program – Staff from Murphys Point NHE  – Picnic Shelter

1:00 – 4:00    Voyageur Canoe Paddles at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm  – Boat Launch

                  Sign up at the Registration Office in the morning of July 20

2:00 – 3:00    Children’s Activity – Meet at the Picnic Shelter

2:00 – 3:00    Conservation Officers Outreach – Picnic Shelter

3:00 – 4:00    Conservation Officers Canine Unit – Near the Picnic Shelter

4:00 – 5:00    Family Fun Fishing – Boat Launch

 8:00 – 9:30    Music by The Celtic Rathskallions – Picnic Shelter

Smokey The Bear and Parks Canada will be joining us throughout the day as well!
