This year marks the 20^th anniversary of the formation of the Friends of Murphys Point Park! Since 1995 we have done some amazing things for Murphys Point. We have hired dozens of students, helped to fund interpretive displays and publications, assisted with research efforts related to species at risk (especially our Gray Ratsnakes), built a bridge with partners, conducted archaeology, hosted educational programs for kids, spearheaded the award-winning Heritage Mica Days – and so much more!

In our birthday year, we’re having a membership drive! If you are already a member and have not yet renewed your membership for 2015, please head over to our membership page. You can pay online or print off the form and mail it in. If you are not yet a member – please join the fun!

We are also encouraging current members to “Make a Friend”! For every new person you encourage to become a Friend of Murphys Point, your name will be entered to win an Ontario Parks Summer Pass, which means you can use any provincial park in Ontario during the day. All you have to do is make sure the New Friend puts your name in the special instructions box when paying online through our website or on the printable form if mailing it in. The draw will be held on April 26 at our Annual General Meeting.

$20 for 20 years….For our 20th birthday, we are hoping you will consider making a donation of $20 (or any amount) to the Friends! As the costs of running a not-for-profit charitable organization continue to rise, we could use your help to ensure we can continue our efforts to enhance the natural heritage education program at Murphys Point.
