Another BBQ on the Beach!

Join us at Murphys Point on Sunday, July 10 for a fabulous BBQ hosted by the Friends on the main beach at the park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Funds raised will support Super Kids In Parks and other youth programs, such as Archaeo Apprentice.

Menu: Hamburger $4.00
Cheeseburger $4.00

Veggie Burger $4.00

Hot Dog $2.00

Bag of Chips $1.00

Pop or Juice $1.00

Regular park day-use entry fees apply ($14 per car; $11 for seniors; $7 for car disability permit) or use your provincial park camping permit or season’s pass for access. Remember, this entitles you to use the day-use facilities at the park, such as hiking trails, beaches and the playground, all day up to 10 p.m. You can make a whole day of it!

Join us for some fun and food at Murphys Point on Sunday, June 26 when the Friends will be hosting a fundraising Beach BBQ and Games Day at the main beach at the park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Funds raised will support Super Kids In Parks and other youth programs, such as Archaeo Apprentice.

Friends Host Successful Pancake Breakfast

We did it again!

The Friends of Murphys Point kicked it up a notch and hosted a larger-scale pancake breakfast (larger than usual!) as part of the annual bird count this year. The event, held on Sunday, May 22, attracted between 150 and 175 campers, birders, Friends and regular hungry people for delicious pancakes and sausages.

Thanks to everyone who came out and support this fundraiser to support Friends’ programs. Also thanks to the army of volunteers for pulling everything together (it was great fun!), and the park staff for their ongoing support.
