Annual Bird Count – Saturday, May 18

It’s that time of year again!

Join us bright and early for the Friends of Murphys Point Park Annual Bird Count on Saturday, May 18! We will meet at the visitor centre for 6 a.m., where we will split into teams before heading out to discover a world of newly arrived spring migrants. If 6 a.m. is a bit too early, we will be regrouping at 8 a.m. at the Lally Homestead for a quick break before continuing in different habitats. New birders are welcome to join us (a few pairs of binoculars will be available at both locations), but please note this is not designed as a “beginner’s workshop.” We will likely finish mid-to-late morning.

Since the park is already open, there will be the usual park fee per vehicle ($14.50 regular /$11.50 senior).
